Emma Stokes

Emma Stokes, aka the Gin Monkey, is a London-based spirits and gin expert. Her first book, The Periodic Table of Cocktails combined her scientific background and love for cocktails to great effect. Since she has written a further Christmas-themed cocktail book, produced a set of Gin Rummy playing cards, written about gin for a number of trade and consumer outlets and produced a self-published scratch-off gin poster.

Emma is passionate about great quality spirits, particularly gins, and has had a frontline seat for the gin revival since she launched Gin Monkey in 2009. So much so that she curates the world's largest celebration: #WorldGinDay which is celebrated on the second Saturday in June annually.

Often found swimming in an East London lido, or in a frosty martini.
