Wahaca Edinburgh

Description

A leading Mexican restaurant founded by a former Masterchef champion is coming Edinburgh. Wahaca, the vibrant chain of eateries set up by Thomasina Miers with 23 sites across London and the rest of England, will rock up to South St. Andrew Street to become the first Scottish restaurant of its kind in October.

Miers took the Masterchef crown in 2005, and opened her first Wahaca site two years later. Since then it’s grown to become one of the UK’s leading spots for Mexican street foods, with menus jam-packed with freshly made guacamole, slow-cooked pork dishes, grilled fish plates, seasonal veggies and zingy salsas. You’ll be able to tuck into the finest tacos, tortillas, burritos and enchiladas here, with a drinks menu spanning beers, wines, cocktails and soft drinks, as well as an impressive range of tequilas and mezcals to complete that authentic Mexican experience.
