Taking over from Bar Brig, The Mother Superior is the friendly Edinburgh bar that you need to discover. Comprised of a main drinking and dining space and an intimate basement music venue, this Leith Walk watering hole is helping take your whisky knowledge to new heights. 

Boasting as many as 800 bottles of the good stuff, the bar will be able to offer punters an extensive education in all things malt. To make it easier to decide which of their many drams is the one for you, they'll be running regular 'malt of the month' offers, with 20-40 varieties available at a lower price. 

As for soakage, The Mother Superior is bringing in the flavours of the American South with a menu of mouthwatering Louisiana soul food made with the freshest Scottish ingredients. And when the time calls for a little entertainment, their downstairs room hosts an array of live music nights, including jazz and funk sessions, plus performances from local buskers.
