Malones Edinburgh is an award-winning Irish bar, sports bar and live music venue in the West End of Edinburgh. The bar is well known in the city for its electric atmosphere, popular Tennant’s Tank Lager and the best pint of Guinness around
Primely located in Edinburgh’s gorgeous West End, Malones is just a short walk from Haymarket Station. Therefore, many commuters to the city enjoy Malones as a convenient spot for mid-week and after-work drinks, and the function room is host to team building events throughout the week. The venue consists of 3 bars, 1 downstairs and 2 upstairs. We have our new custom-made events space, The Raglan Room, as well as a large Upstairs Bar that can double as a multi-purpose function room.
The drinks menus are constantly updated to showcase the best draught beers, wines and spirits, both local and from afar. An extensive whiskey menu showcases over 250 whiskies from Scotland, Ireland and around the world. We're Edinburgh's only venue to feature on the Guinness Harp Guide - Guinness' own list of where to get the best pints across the UK.
Food is back on the menu! Our kitchen has officially reopened with the iconic Malones Spice Bag, burgers, and more.
We were thrilled to win SLTN's Best Venue to Watch the Match in November 2025 and show all sport including football, rugby, GAA, F1, tennis, boxing, AFL, NFL, Super Bowl and more.
Malones is also a live music venue, with live music from local bands, duos and solo artists Thursday - Sunday every week. For private events, entertainment can be arranged, whether that’s live music, a DJ or even a comedian.
Our private spaces & function rooms, including our new expansion The Raglan Room, can be hired for events of up to 250 people making them perfect for birthdays, weddings, corporate events and more.
