Fine-dining and pared-back style collide at Mr Fox in Parnell Square, the smart restaurant from the team behind The Pig's Ear and chef Anthony Smith.

Aiming to put a sexy spin on casual dining, the menu is adventurous without being eye-wateringly expensive. Dishes are created using seasonal produce, expect bites such as pheasant with beluga lentils, Toulouse sausages, and smoked prunes, or Chateaubriand sharing steaks. 

Interiors are simple, and as a former kitchen to a grand house, there's plenty of exposed brick and period features. Keep an eye out for the stuffed fox which first inspired this spot's name, along with other quirky touches such as the tiled antique stove.
