Pygmalion

Description

The grandeur of the 18th century Powerscourt Townhouse makes the perfect setting for a restaurant turned bar turned nightclub extraordinaire. Beneath this building lie the old vaults where you'll find Pygmalion, an Irish stalwart for a good (heavy) time.

It's not all basement boozing at this place, you'll find one of the city's biggest and most loved outdoor terraces on Coppinger Row which you'll regularly find rammed with revelers come day or night. You can dabble in a bit of shisha out here and a wealth of drinks. The infamous Pygtails at 13 euros a pop come in all shapes and sizes saluting classic concoctions and introducing new mixes, like their Tangle Twister (Absolut Pear, Black Raspberry, Vanilla, Cranberry, Whites, Citrus and Sugar).

During the day you'll discover this place as a haven for big brunches and tapas dishes. Feast your soul on a hearty Full Irish breakfast for 10.50 or come by for a lunch spot of Gambas Pil Pil, Paella, Escalivada and even some traditional Mexican eats like Tacos and Quesadillas.

With a late licence on the go, Pygmalion turns into an institution for clubbing in Dublin where international DJs like Soul Clap, Jamie Jones and Marco Carola take to the decks every month for special long-haul nights.
