Description

Toners Pub, nestled on Lower Baggot Street in Dublin, is one of the city's oldest and most iconic establishments, with roots tracing back to 1734. The pub is renowned for its unspoiled Victorian charm, featuring original snugs partitioned by large pub mirrors, worn wooden furniture, and stone floors that evoke a timeless atmosphere.

The walls are adorned with vintage pub paraphernalia, contributing to its authentic and cosy ambiance. Its proximity to the Dáil has made it a favorite haunt for politicians, journalists, and even celebrities—Bono and other notable figures have been spotted enjoying a pint here.

Owned by Mick and Frank Quinn since 1987, Toners is part of a family-run group that includes other well-known Dublin venues like The Waterloo and The Lansdowne Hotel. While Toners doesn’t operate a full kitchen, it has a unique arrangement with neighboring Cirillo’s—voted Europe’s best pizzeria—allowing patrons to enjoy top-tier pizza in the pub’s yard. Toners is also celebrated for its house whiskey, James Toners Irish Whiskey, which has garnered awards and is available exclusively at the pub. Often cited as serving one of the best pints of Guinness in Dublin, Toners remains a beloved institution for locals and visitors alike.
