- Cocktail Bar
Boasting wood-fired pizzas and some seriously tasty cocktails, this quirky little bar on Whitchurch Street is a haven for those looking for a stylish night out. The retro aesthetic sets framed pictures of beetles and old-fashioned mirrors against a background of dark green walls, with chesterfield sofas and arm chairs acting as the main seating area. There’s also stalls round the wooden bar and wooden furnishings creating an easier eating space.
The menu focuses on pizzas, offering a variety of interesting toppings, from pancetta and pomegranate seeds to chorizo and hot honey, as well as vegetarian and vegan options like courgette and aubergine and the classic Florentine with a bechamel base. There’s a few sides and salads to accompany them, with all ingredients sourced from local suppliers. These are washed down by a cocktail list filled with classics-with-a-twist, such as a Honey Rum Sour and a Rhubard & Custard Short that mixes rubhard and marshmallow vodkas for the ultimate sweet treat. Open from midday everyday, they're also a top spot for coffee, cake and catch up with friends of an afternoon.
