Duke of Wellington

Description

Traditional in every way, and with bagfuls of character, the Duke of Wellington has established itself at the top of Cardiff's ever-growing pub scene. Wonderfully decorated and with a welcoming atmosphere, it acts as a sanctuary and safe-haven away from the hustle and bustle of metropolitan life.

The pub itself has developed a wonderful knack for filling all its visitors with a great sense of comfort. With shelves of vintage books, a cosy fireplace and a number of colourful, softer-than soft armchairs, the pub is ideal for those lazy weekends and happily caters for anyone looking to spend an entire day tucked in with a book and an ice-cold drink.

And of course, there's the food menu. Filled with all the classic comfort treats that we've come to associate with a traditional pub, guests can choose from their long line-up of delicious burgers, succulent selection of perfectly seasoned meats or the impressive array of sharing platters. Featuring craft beers and real ales from the areas many local breweries, the bar should certainly not be overlooked. But the real treat is the brunch menu; think feather steak with sauteed potatoes, and sweet potato and onion hash.
