Description
This quaint country pub in the village of Horningsea enjoys the best of both worlds - just a 5 minute drive from the A14 but peaceful and rural at the same time. The Crown & Punchbowl is just 3 miles from the centre of Cambridge but equally well connected to Ely and the Newmarket Races.
This Grade II listed building was formerly an old coaching inn in the 17th century. Nowadays it retains all its old charm with real fires and exposed beams but has also been extended with a bright conservatory to the rear. There are also 9 tranquil guest rooms.
Real ales are served direct from the cask and sourced from local breweries. The food is British and modern European with a daily fish board.
