What they say:

It turns out the people of Bristol are such little piggies that pig-eating brand Pigsty had to find a bigger pen. After finding success in Cargo, they’re opening their second venue on Gloucester Road, this time it being four times the size of the original – and boasting an extended menu. The space itself used to be a former butcher’s from decades ago, and they’ve incorporated that original tiling into their design. With the bigger venue, they’re expanding in all sorts of areas, offering up vegetarian options and brunch.

What we say:

Surprisingly, the menu at Pigsty is very pig-heavy, serving it up from breakfast through to dinner. Despite increasing what they’re offering, they won’t be getting rid of their classics, so expect to find the Pig Board – a huge sharing board packed with crackling, pulled pork, pork belly, like a meaty cheese board – and the Pig Mac – a seasoned pork patty with slow roasted BBQ pulled pork and cheese baconaise – making a return. If you’re in a rush, you can take advantage of their ‘On The Trot’ takeaway service, where you can grab sausage rolls, Scotch eggs and bacon sarnies.
