Late May

What they say:

Taking over a former carpet shop, The Wooden Walls will be the first micropub in the South Gloucestershire council area. Perfect for local real ale enthusiasts, the pub will serve up a great selection of cask ales and hand-made ciders, along with wines and a few gin and tonics on occasion. Located in the Staple Hill area, it aims to promote good old fashioned conversation by doing away with electronic distractions like music, TV and even fruit machines, while mobile phone use will be strictly prohibited.

What we say:

The latest micropub to hit Bristol, and the first in South Gloucester, The Wooden Walls is proving to mark itself out as a real community gem. Promoting community and conversation over screen-staring the 40-capacity pub on Staple Hill's Broad Street is looking to become a cool, comfortable and relaxing local spot for real ale enthusiasts, or those who just need a break from electronics.
