Inspired by Bristol's rich merchant heritage and the legacy of
the Crocker brothers, The Merchant of Cotham is a neighbourhood pub
with independent character, local pride and a passion for great
hospitality. Rooted in the heart of Cotham, we've created a place
where quality drinks, exceptional food and community come together.
Beer is at the heart of everything we do. Our on-site brewery,
Brewhouse Brewing Co., continues to brew fresh beer right here in
the venue, alongside a rotating line-up of collaboration brews from
some of Bristol's most celebrated independent breweries, including
Bristol Beer Factory, Left Handed Giant, Lost & Grounded, Wiper &
True and On Point Brew Co. You'll also find spirits from Bristol
Distilling Co., giving guests a true taste of the city.
Our food is proudly local too. Menus are built around some of
Bristol's best independent producers, featuring steak and brisket
from Ruby & White, bread and burger buns from Hobbs House Bakery,
and ice cream from Marshfield Farm. It's Real Bristol, On Every
Plate.

When our Head Brewer lets us, you can sit in the almighty Brewery Corner and watch in awe as he brews beer right in front of you! Order some food and a pint and take in the hoppy surroundings! As this area seats 22 and stands up to 50, you may as well invite a load of drinking buddies to join you – shotgun not the designated driver! This lovely corner also includes the grand Fire Pit table, which will keep you nice and toasty on those cold days! |
