I don’t usually make a fuss and like to think me and my group of friends can have a laugh no matter what the circumstances really but we all collectively decided we do need to address the matter of how bad the bottomless Pop Icon brunch was last night and to be honest for £49 and what you advertise we feel a bit scammed! We arrived on Saturday 13th for the 4-6pm slot on my birthday to celebrate the occasion, all four of us super excited! We were taken through to our seats, the place is awesome inside. Bottle of prosecco and jug of cocktail on the table already and a very flamboyant lady (but not drag) warming up the room. Apart from she wasn’t warming it up because it was just her all night, and although very good at singing she was, that is not what is advertised. After an hour our drinks are finished and we wait a bit to see if anyone will bring more but no one turned up so that’s fine I’ll just pop to the bar and get another bottle. I was told “you know you can just stay in your seats they bring it round?” Oh ok! No problem - we weren’t told that though and we had been sat with no drinks for 20 minutes. So we waited and waited and finally a lady came to get our orders. An hour and a half has gone by and it’s still just one lady dressed in drag style singing. I did have to just confirm as I thought I might have gotten it wrong so I brought it back up on my phone - yes, I was right, on the website for this particular brunch it states “drink, dine, and experience some of the best drag entertainment in the industry. Our talented host”s” will have you laughing, singing and dancing along side them from start to finish” also I had a quick scroll through the pictures on the websites and the atmosphere/entertainment was just nothing like how is portrayed. Anyway our food arrives but just before that a lady comes over and apologises but out of the four Halloumi salads she’s dropped two of them on the way out of the kitchen. We said don’t worry we’ll have two halloumi and two bacon salads. Why haven’t you got another block of halloumi in the kitchen though? Didn’t want to drag it out so didn’t say much more. Off she goes to the kitchen and as she’s bringing the plates over I’m thinking they are side plates right? For the fries? Oh my god what was put in front of us was actually laughable we had tears rolling down our faces. I’m so annoyed we didn’t get pictures. It was an actual side plate with 2 brown-ish lettuce leaves. 1 piece of halloumi or 1 piece of tiny streaky bacon and a few fries. We were missing two sets of cutlery so I went to the bar and asked for two more sets and a man walked into the back and came back and handed me two sets of dripping wet cutlery as if he’d just run them under the tap. No napkin to wipe them on and no napkins on the table so had to wipe them dry on my skirt! We did eat it but we were hungry and thought considering the booze we had better get it down us. After we left we all got cheesy chips. Now we made the most out of it and understand the £49 is to cover the cost of unlimited alcohol which is obviously a big factor of the brunch, but how you are charging this price for something that isn’t as how you portray it online AND whilst serving horrendous food I just can’t get my head around. Was this just an off night? Or? I just don’t think it is worth £49pp.

Mixed review really, the environment was good fun but thought the service was awful. Paid nearly £40 each for a bottomless brunch and our drinks were only refill once in 90 minutes, when asking the staff for more drinks I was met with a very rude member of staff who said it was only himself working in all the tables. I probably wouldn't go back there for a bottomless brunch again, didn't really think it was worth the money myself, have been to better.
