Michael’s natural charm and cheeky, observational style has already seen him make an impact on the UK comedy scene, most recently starring in the latest series of ITV2s Stand Up Sketch Show. This follows his TV Debut last year as part of the BBC New Comedy Awards. Recently, Michael has written and performed sketch collaborations with LadBible UK.
As a junior doctor on the frontline, with the myriad of challenges this poses, can he balance being a role model and a young man from London? His anecdotes from his time rotating through Geriatrics & Psychiatry suggest otherwise. Should a doctor tell you to reduce your sugar intake then an hour later you both in the queue for Krispy Kreme donuts?
Scrubs are the universal uniform for doctors but they don't confer any medical competence. Wearing a tracksuit on the street has negative connotations but does that make one any less of a medical professional? Is one a scrub because they're wearing no Scrubs?
No Scrubs’ sees Michael traverse the daily challenges of life within the NHS, surviving life in London outside of it and how he ended up in court fighting for it (his life, not the NHS). Doctors are seen as role models, but peep behind the medical screens and not all of them are.
