Sherden

Description

SHERDEN  is the new wine & cocktail bar in Brighton. The name is widely recognised in the Italian island of Sardinia (where a big settlement of Sherdana warriors lived and from which some historians believe the name of the island generates); and recalls the ancient sea people that navigated the Mediterranean coasts during ancient Egyptian times. They were known as skilled sailors and fearless warriors (though more akin to the modern concept of pirates). However, their legendary and respected fighting skills earned them a place in the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses II's  private guards soon after he defeated them.

It is with the same passion that our very own Sherdana bar manager Roberto (proudly born in Sardinia) hopes to conquer our guests' minds and palates by navigating a sea of ingredients (some of his own making) to create unique cocktails that you are guaranteed not find in Brighton. Of course if you feel less adventurous we can also serve you any of the classic cocktails you might like.

For those who do not fancy a cocktail we suggest some of the great Italian wines from our constantly changing wine list, where you can have a virtual tour  around some of the best wine making hills in Italy.

All of this while you taste some excellent delicacies in true Italian style where drinking is always accompanied by tasteful food.
