Set to be the first of its kind in the UK, Eclectic Bars have announced plans to open their very Dirty Blonde bar in the heart of the Brighton Lanes. Tucked quietly behind a functioning pawn broker shop on East Street, this new opening will serve thirsty speciality cocktails alongside a unique New York fusion style menu, influenced by the immigrant cuisines of NYC over the generations.

Until 9pm, the fronting Pawn Brokers will open to sell vintage ephemera, only to transform come nightfall into a fabulously decadent meet and greet area: the space is scattered with VIP booths (all of which are available to pre-book) and infused with a classic music mix from big name DJs and regular live music performances.

The cocktail offering is perhaps most impressive, serving up a curious collection of pre-prohibition and prohibition inspired concoctions: expect to sup on the likes of aged cocktails, Martinis and signature blends, all of which have been masterfully mixed by expert mixologists. Refined, sophisticated and damn delicious.

They have a good range of cocktails that are all well made. The waitresses are all very competent and friendly. Sophie who organises VIP tables is very helpful. The decor is pretty nice and although I generally prefer a more intimate venue - I can still appreciate the spacious dance floor and the open layout. The music on the weekends seems to start off with a prohibition era theme then later moves onto more commercial modern club hits. I'd personally prefer the former to continue all night but that's just my taste. All in all it's a good venue for a night out- particularly with a large group.

Very welcoming young lady at the door. However, on a quiet Monday afternoon & being the only customers you would hope for better service. Rather than being rushed to order cocktails, but most of all being ignored once other off duty staff members came in & sat at the bar. Even once we got enough attention to get the bill we were still left another 10 minutes, no drinks & no one coming to take our money. Went to the bar myself to interrupt the staff leaning on the bar & chatting. Great interior, best toilets I've see in a long while, just the young team & their lack of service knowledge / training ruined the lasting impression.
