Chaplin's & The Cellar Bar

Description

Award-winning alehouse, creative cocktail bar and fine restaurant all rolled into one, Chaplin's & The Cellar Bar and its fun, flamboyant and foliage-fringed garden is an ideal spot to sample a selection of real ales and craft ciders with pals and soak up the kooky Charlie Chaplin character of the place.

Artistic, original and alluring, Chaplin's & The Cellar Bar showcases a unique vibe with its quirky, old-school interior with walls dressed in black and white portraits, framed newspaper mementos and expressionist-inspired paintings, whilst its exterior sits awash with ornaments and fairy-lights. Dr. Seuss-style, 1920s-elaborate lampposts and balcony railings overlook the garden, where you'll revel in some locally brewed beers. A welcoming event space also, The Cellar Bar makes for an incredible live music venue with its intimate feel, showcasing talented bands and artists from far and wide seven days a week with jazz nights swinging on Sundays.

Priding itself on organic, locally sourced produce, the home-cooked meals at Chaplin's feature wholesome British dishes, as well as appetising European-inspired meals with seasonal specials changing daily. Pick the "Pie Of The Day" with a red wine and rosemary jus for £10 or the "Pea and Asparagus Risotto" in a wild garlic and basil pesto dressing for £9.50. The fruity house classic, the "Charlie Chaplin" with apricot brandy and sloe gin will be a delight to add to your order for just £7.50. Don't forget either their "Solstice Festival" in summer and its attractive 37+ real ales on offer.
