The rise and rise of Charlotte Carpenter has her heralded as one to watch amongst female songwriters. Throughout the summer this young lady's acoustic pop folk sounds have been enrapturing audiences all over the country, and now this September she is coming to The Yardbird to play a free show of her best ditties and poetic melodies.
In March this year Charlotte released her second EP, 'In The Night', which still contains the traditional folk influences and quirky lyrics from her 2012 debut EP 'Let It Go'. But this time Charlotte is older and wiser, and you can really hear it in the more melancholic, rhythmic nature of her newest sounds. She is an expert in hypnotising audiences with the balanced rise and fall of her music which she combines with stop short narrative lyrics. Heavily influenced by the likes of folk royalty, Laura Marling, the sounds of Charlotte Carpenter will carry on charming our ear drums for a long time yet.
