On Saturday, November 30 explore the country’s many regional specialties; found in fancy restaurants, cheat eats favourites or handheld snacks. Sure, you can order another round of tikki masala from takeout and delivery, but why stay in when you can spend a day out at Quantum in Digbeth for some feasting fun?

Birmingham-Digbeth will get the honour of presenting the UK’s best Street Food vendors. From Gujarat to Punjab and Mumbai, British Asian street-food traders and snack bars will celebrate how South Indian food has expanded tenfold. While the Balti Triangle has long been renowned for its destination-worthy South Indian dining, lately, Indian Street Food has been giving it some serious competition.

What could be better than tucking into a Punjabi Mixed Grill in winter? How about some melt-in-your-mouth chunks of Lamb Curry in thick spicy gravy, and plenty of vegetables? Get stuck into a Karavali Chicken Curry with the perfect amount of spice, or hide away in a corner with a Kati Roll from Kolkata. Share with friends a plate full of Bombay Chaat.
