Top Birmingham chef Aktar Islam has set his sights on Cau's former space in Brindleyplace.

Pulperia is set to be an Argentine restaurant, serving one of the world's best steaks: 17-year-old Galician Blonde. Aktar - who is also behind renowned Legna and Opheem - was inspired by his travels to Argentina for his new restaurant, and plans to employ traditional cooking methods, including using a parilla (a South American grill). 

Along with unique cuts of beef from naturally reared pure breeds, the restaurant will serve fish, grilled chicken and vegetarian options, as well as a selection of asado; small plates with which to  begin your meal.
