Lacked atmosphere. Free drink they say is applicable to only 'one shot'..measured small, stingy and pathetic for New Years. Island Bar downstairs music average + we are told only one drink at the vic ?? Event info says 2 welcome drinks. no countdown Visited The Victoria on 2016-12-31

I thought pairings up with two venues were great. However I was very disappointed the live music wasn't on for longer or later. We arrived at 11 and the upstairs room of the vic was empty. Please state the times of the live performances so we can plan our night. Also a countdown to new year would be nice. Visited The Victoria on 2016-12-31

Both venues were extremely disappointing. The Victoria seemed quiet and lacked atmosphere, we then moved to Island Bar at 11.30 in time to see the New Year in. As we arrived it seemed more of a party atmosphere however when going to get some drinks to toast the new year in we were told the bar was closed for 45 mins so that the workers could celebrate New Year too. This was told to us by bartenders with glasses of champagne in their hands staring and laughing at all their customers who they were not serving. As a customer who has spent £16.50 on a ticket to this venue we were all very angry and disappointed by this. When asked to speak to the manager who was very rude and simply told us that it was marked on a chalk board inside the venue that the bar was closing..... This was not stated anywhere on our tickets when we purchased them at all! To top it all off there was no build up to when the clock striked 12 to celebrate the new year in. Instead we thought it was getting a little late checked our phones and we saw it had just turned midnight. There was then a delayed interval of hearing Big Ben chime and then a couple of moments later they continued playing the previous song as though nothing has even happened. Huge disappointment!!! Would not recommend this to anyone!
