HEADLINER: JACK GLEADOW

Jack Gleadow is an award winning ‘one man comedy variety show’ from Hull. He takes his inspiration from the golden era of variety. His act mixes one liners, stories and audience participation. Jack is fresh from the Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 where his show 'Mr Saturday Night' has been nominated for Best New Show.

Jack was the winner of the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2018 - previous winners include Josh Widdecombe, Jason Manford, Jonny Vegas & Romesh Ranganathan.

Other recent awards wins and plaudits include the Great Yorkshire Fringe Comedian of the Year 2017, the Amused Moose National New Comic Award 2017, and being selected for the Pleasance Comedy Reserve at the Edinburgh Fringe 2018.

It's an absolute honour and a treat to bring this star of the future to Kings Heath for April's 'Off the Rails'.

''An absolute natural'' (Chortle)

"Star potential - the Sky's the limit" (Bruce Dessau, Beyond the Joke)

Born in Birmingham and now residing in West Bromwich, Sandwell, Laura Monmoth has been performing for nearly five years. Though initially “influenced by the storytelling of Jasper Carrott and energy of Rowan Atkinson,” she’s since taken a new direction and her debut show, LGBTQZX, has garnered high praise from several other arts festivals.

SUPPORT FROM: RYAN MOLD & USAMA KHAN

RYAN MOLD

Ryan began his career with a huge passion for stand-up comedy after watching a Lee Hurst video tape. In 2014 Ryan began promoting sell out shows in Oxfordshire full of his favourite comedians. After being surrounded by comedy for many years he began performing himself. His stage presence is immediately likeable & brings a lot of energy to his performance. An engaging observational comedian with a hint of aggravation & sarcasm. He has performed spots all over the UK & continues to be a very busy comedian.

‘Strong performance & nicely refreshing’ (Notts Comedy Review)

USAMA KHAN

Usama is originally from Bradford and has been a favourite on the West Midlands circuit ever since he moved South in 2018. This is sharp, satirical humour from a man who is not afraid to play off his own stereotypes. An affable chap with a smashing beard.

Venue

The Station

Hard to miss, The Station is a bar in Kings Heath, and possibly one of the quirkiest. Mounted T-Rex heads? Ostrich themed kitsch wallpaper and vintage chesterfield booths? There's all that and more at The Station where contemporary meets the unorthodox. From it's period Victorian features to its whopping…
