Located in the loft space of the Jewellery Quarter's trendy 1000 Trades, this stylish little bar offers a slightly alternative menu from your average cocktail spot. Specialising in expert mixology, the skilled bartenders produce creative concoctions and home-made ingredients, such as their innovative use of strawberry water. Alongside cocktails, The Vanguard also aims to draw a greater focus to an all-but-forgotten beverage, mead, with plenty of South London-brewed Gosnells available to sample.

The Vanguard is headed up by Samuel 'The Vermouth Ambassador' Boulton, whose previous work has included the launch of the bar at Harvey Nichols, and projects with Gabriel Boudier and Chairman's Reserve. A cocktail consultant and bartender himself, this is Sam's first solo launch.
