Host to Birmingham's premium comedy club, Glee, is the Arcadian centre just shy of Gay Village.

Renowned as the UK's first purpose built comedy venue outside of London in 1994, the Glee Comedy Club has spent nearly two decades entertaining and tickling the funny bones of Brum locals and visitors alike. Having seen the likes of everyone from Jack Dee and Lee Evans to Michael McIntyre, Glee Comedy Club is perfect for those in Birmingham looking for something a little different with their evening tipple.

A comedy club isn't all that Glee has to offer though. A premium music venue in Birmingham, Glee's 600 person capacity means that some of the country's most charming and intimate gigs are hosted at this infamous venue. And what with a full stocked bar, you'll be happily watered all night long.

Brilliant night, went for my Birthday. Proper production, not a pub gig. Seats like a theatre, facing the stage (like the Comedy Store ) but with little tables in the rows for food and drink. Booze is city centre prices, but the food was good (better than expected at a comedy club). Acts were all my cup of tea, but just like any gig I wouldn't go without checking whose on.

Didn't think much of it here - Unfortunately I didn't find the acts we saw very funny and felt like I was back at school with the seating - no good if there's a group of you! Also something that was not mentioned anywhere - before the acts begin and during the intervals, they insist on playing very loud music and constantly flashing different coloured lights for the full 10 minutes - might not seem like much but left me with a migraine and feeling pretty miserable

SUCH A GOOD PLACE! I absolutely love comedy nights and glee is perfect. It's not too big (meaning you're more likely to get picked on) but the size is great for just small mid-week nights. Really nice place and such laughs had here, hopefully see some bigger names here soon!
