The Electric Cinema

Description

While not strictly a bar, The Electric Cinema makes for one of the most unique nights out in Birmingham.

Famed as the oldest working cinema in the country, opening way back in 1909, The Electric Cinema has seen its way through numerous name changes and was once even known as an amusement arcade. Now fully fledged as Birmingham's independent movie mecca, this red velvet clad movie house boast two digital screens, a slick and simple 1920's styled bar, waiter service, plush sofas and even its own orchestra!

One of the most distinctive traits is the cinema's take on independent events; boasting pop-up evenings of premium entertainment and quirky spectacles. From foodie film clubs and all-day marathons to sell-out horror film festivals, guests visit The Electric Cinema for its special take on the booming indie movie scene.
