Description

Best Club 2014/15 - DesignMyNight Awards

Situated moments from Old Street station, XOYO is one of East London's top cultural hubs and live music clubs. The 800 person capacity make it an excellent place to catch either a band or DJ performance in truly intimate surroundings. Hosting live bands throughout the week and top name DJs from the house, dubstep and progressive music stables, this is one of London's top clubbing experiences, offering cutting-edge sound and light systems that make partying deep into the night inevitable.

The split level design evokes an underground vibe through its minimalist finish, and the venue is perfect for private hire. Its multi-faceted layout and extensive technical capabilities means it functional for various event types including: live music gigs, club nights, private corporate events, live comedy nights, fashion shows, filming and photo shoots.

Head on upstairs and you'll find a similarly cracking second club room. Formerly known as the Shoreditch Butchery, the room offers a lively atmosphere and plenty more hedonistic antics in the shape of music and more. In short, XOYO is a must-visit for any given clubbing enthusiast. Haven't been yet? What are you waiting for!

Honestly not my kind of music. But still managed to dance into the early hours. Don't go thinking you're going to be dressed up and wearing your best shoes, they won't be your best shoes for long.

Doorstaff really down to earth. But somewhat misleading. Was told id get free entry. Turn up and alas its 8 quid in before ten. Get to the first bar which looks banging and next minute escorted out because its a vip thing. So allowed to go downstairs but its like going back in time to a Romford nightclub circa 89. Didn't realise that super Shoreditch takes in house. A Heineken stubby is promised at £2.50 a pop till your attention is brought to the £4.50 for non wrist band wearer. How many levels of exclusivity do yoy pay for?

Definitely one of the best London clubs for line-ups at the moment. Friday nights are more deep or tech house with lots of underground emergent and big artists while Saturdays are more on the disco/dance side. Sundays after party are pretty cool too.. Always busy but not too over crowded. Remember to get your jacket from the cloackroom before it closes if you don't want to be in a massive line to get out!
