The Rum Kitchen Notting Hill

Description

As the name suggests, rum is the order of the day. Expect unparalleled fun, great food, delicious cocktails and a unique party vibe unlike anything in the vicinity. The space aims to provide the area with a local hang out; merging music and a desire for the ‘good life’ with fresh, seasonal produce and expertly crafted cocktails.

Located on All Saint’s Road in Notting Hill, The Rum Kitchen will showcase the vibrant spirit of the West Indies and holds a hidden cellar housing over 100 varieties of rum from across the region. The lively and unique atmosphere will be complemented by the site’s Music Director ‘DJ Fast’ from The Fun Lovin’ Criminals and reggae group ‘Reggae Roast’. Expect everything from Reggae to Latin and Calypso to Afro-funk.

The cocktail menu has been developed by Bar Manager Imogen Elliot and focuses heavily on rum with some Caribbean inspired tipple thrown in too. The food menu focuses on refined Caribbean classics so such favourites as jerk chicken, curried goat; but also has modern twists to classics including the Ackee and salt fish bruschetta with spinach, and roast cod marinated in coconut milk with scotch bonnet.

The interiors have been put together by graphic design heavy weights ‘I Love Dust and 44th Hill, whose previous work include Meat Liquor and Ping. This will feature a chilled out café style dining space and a cosy downstairs cellar with exposed rum barrels adorning the walls.
