The Garage

Description

Planted smack-bang in the city centre on Sauchiehall Street, The Garage is one of the best-known and best-loved mainstream clubs in Glasgow. And with good reason. Many clubs boast having "something for everyone" but The Garage has the goods to back it up. From moshing in foam to competing for Scrabble Champ, from crooning karaoke to private pole dancing, The Garage brings its A-game, seven nights a week. With six rooms pumping out the tunes, there's a truly eclectic mix of music. Spaces and nights are set aside for Indie, Rock, Hip Hop, RnB, Punk, club classics and commercial chart, making The Garage a good people-pleaser for your Glasgow night out, without scrimping on your personal tastes.

Cheap drinks, a seven day party atmosphere - and most likely the Thursday night bouncy castle too - are all a massive draw for the student-heavy clientele. Discerning revelers can opt for one of a wide range of cocktails while there's also pocket-friendly drink promos every night. For extra discount, bag yourself a BOOM Card! The vibe of this club is "anything goes" and with the arena-style Main Room leading to the Nan's house-style Lounge, The Garage's higgledy piggledy layout has serious novelty factor. The rooms can also be booked for private parties and events.

The Garage is known for going big with its events (they once constructed an indoor circus), and for hosting some legendary gigs (Prince played here in '94 and made the whole crowd turn their backs to the stage). So with an almost 20 year history, banging tunes, and some dangerous drink deals, this place sure knows a thing or two about throwing one epic party.
