Sefa Kitchen

Description

With floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed brick walls and leafy green plants hanging from the ceiling, Sefa Kitchen is an oasis of calm, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the Bondi streets outside.

Dishes are inspired by the Levant region of the Middle East, an area which spans Jordan and Lebanon to Cyprus and beyond. Using ancient cooking techniques and fresh seasonal produce, meals are an aromatic and colourful affair, perfect for romantic date nights or rowdy group get-togethers. Diners are invited to lay down their cutlery, and instead get their hands dirty as they dig into a sharing feast of mezze plates. Highlights include scallop ceviche served with whipped tahini, slow cooked lamb shoulder and Sefa's signature; falafel sat atop a bed of bittergreens, tahini and muhammara.

Head here during the weekend to enjoy an Egyptian-style brunch, complete with homemade fluffy flatbreads and baked shakshuka, washed down with bottomless bellinis, fizz or beer. Or, if you're looking for an affordable dinner in Sydney, swing by between Monday and Wednesday when you can bring your own bottle for just a $10 corkage charge.
