This basement bar was a comedy club in its former life, and can be found hidden within an office block in Sydney's CBD. For all its quirkiness, it's the mind behind Ramblin' Rascal Tavern, the rascals themselves, that make this bar a must-visit. The trio of Sebastian 'Cosmo' Soto, Dardan Shervashidze and Charlie Lehmann can be recognised by their skull logos, signature trading cards and penchant for knocking up seriously good cocktails.

Signature house mixes come with wacky names, like Dylan (You Son Of A Bitch) made with gin, blueberry, vanilla, lemon and egg whites. If you'd rather stick to beer, wine or something from the fridge, they've got plenty to choose from. When you're feeling peckish, gorge on dive bar classics like burgers and fries or fried chicken.
