Adding a little rock 'n' roll to Sydney's CBD, Frankie's Pizza is one of the city's most iconic venues. Playing host to live music throughout the week and offering a dimly-lit game arcade for some post-munching fun, this place is perfect for a fun date night or quirky birthday celebration.
While appearing to look like an authentic Italian bistro (complete with red-checkered tablecloths and twinkling tealights), when you head further through the venue you'll find a darkened den, decked out with vintage Pinball machines, cushy leather sofas and music memorabilia covering every inch of the walls. This is where some of Sydney's biggest moshers head to let loose on a Saturday night, hence the no glassware policy.
The menu here is short but sweet, offering 12 types of pizza by the slice, topped with pepperoni drizzled with honey, oozing Buffalo mozzarella, fiery pork sausage and more. And to dip your crusts? There's a selection of signature dipping sauces, including Restaurant Huber's secret burger topping and Frankie's red hot ranch; perfect for those looking to spice things up. In terms of beers, expect the unexpected; this pizzeria has one of the city's widest selections, from Moon Dog coconut cake imperial dark to the citrusy Anderson Valley blood orange gose.
