Earl's Juke Joint is a neighbourhood gem, bringing a dash of New Orleans to Newtown with its saloon-style interiors, exposed brickwork and corrugated iron ceiling. Of course, the atmosphere is as vivacious as you would expect from a Southern bar too, with a toe-tapping soundtrack and an eclectic crowd of revellers seeking out bloody good cocktails.

When it comes to signature sips? The Hobo Julep combines bourbon, sugar syrup and mint bitters for one potent hit. There's also Phife Dawg which blends rum, lime, sugar cane juice and Angostura bitters, alongside decadent piña coladas and Fernet Branca on tap.
