Libertine

Description

The love affair starts outside at Libertine, a stunning French-Vietnamese restaurant in Brisbane CBD, with its parasol-strewn terrace and pergola strung with fairy lights. But it continues once you step inside the historic Barracks building, as awe-worthy chandeliers hang from vaulted ceilings and plush, dark wallpaper sets an intimate vibe.

When you’re not swooning over the gilded interiors, make eyes at the food menu with its rich choice of sharing plates or - for the really hungry - the five-course banquet. Highlights include the magic mushroom 'banh cuon' and tiger prawn croissants. Cocktails will also have you head over heels - expect classic concoctions with an East Asian twist, from yuzu margaritas to a Vietnamese coffee old fashioned - while a strong French wine selection is also on the cards.
