Imagine this: elegant Italian fare, interiors that ooze grandeur and a slick wine list... but on a bus. That’s right, our city is getting its first luxurious dining destination on wheels as the creation of Da Biuso gets well underway.

From Sarah and Biagio Biuso, the culinary duo behind Fortitude Valley’s romantic Casa Nostra Ristorante, is working with Van Demons Vans to transform an old school bus into a slinky new Italian restaurant in Brisbane. Small but mighty, this 14-seater eatery will boast upmarket interiors, as well as a fully equipped bar and kitchen. The unique venture is going to pop up around the city, from New Farm Park to Kangaroo Point Cliffs, though will be stationary during service.

In the kitchen, Biagio is going to be be joined by his son Joseph, who together plan to whip up an ever-changing menu of European and Sicilian influence. As for the drinks selection, this will be overseen by Sarah – she’ll be providing a rotating array of Italian wines alongside aperitifs, digestifs and lip-smacking cocktails.
