The Terrace

Description

Is this Brisbane’s most Instagrammable rooftop bar? The Terrace, a slinky spot at the top of Emporium Hotel in South Bank, certainly seems so - and it’s not just the stunning views over the city. From the lush, living walls to the retractable glass roof and luxurious leather chairs, its decor is OTT, but in the best kind of way.

If you don’t manage to get a seat on the balcony, Brisbane’s skyline vistas are still on show inside thanks to folding doors. Behind the white onyx bar, bartenders whip up a subtropical-inspired list of cocktails, with names such as Freaki-Tiki and Tokyo Hi-Fi - though you can also find all the classics if you prefer. Making an occasion of it? The food menu showcases a range of different bites, from the izakaya grazing plates to the East Asian-inspired mains, like the crispy Borrowdale pork belly.
