Be entertained with rum’s rags to riches story, the dark chapters, the light hearted ones, in an interactive class that will entertain and inform.

Enjoy 5 classic rum cocktails throughout the experience,  created by the distillery's skilled mixologists and learn of  their colourful histories too. 

Have the science demystified behind rum’s creation and the many different processes that are used in its production throughout the world, 

Explore rum's many personalities, as our rum experts share their rich knowledge of the spirit, that will enhance your enjoyment of rum in the future. Learn about new ways to understand rum, and approach the spirit through fresh informed eyes.

Get inspired with a spiced rum tasting, as you're guided through the many different spices, botanicals and fruits used by distilleries all over the world. And then it is your turn to be the distiller, as you choose your own from over 40 here at the school, to spice and re-distil your own 70cl bottle of rum.

You can even name your rum, personalise the label and wax the top. And if you ever want to re-order your bottle, your recipe is kept too.

We have taken this decision for business and health and safety reasons. We hope to re-open in early January. 

The rum school will also remain closed. All ticket holders will be contacted, and as before, we will reschedule all bookings for the period we are closed for future dates, or exchange any tickets for vouchers.

*** COVID-19 UPDATE – 11th DECEMBER 2020 ***

With the next government announcement for the COVID-19 TIER changes due on Wednesday 16th December, and with any changes not official until Saturday 19th December, The Bristol and Bath Rum Distillery has taken the decision to remain closed until January 2021, whether Bristol is moved into TIER 2 or not.  

We have taken this decision as it would not viable for the business to open with such little notice, during these anxious times. 

The rum school will also remain closed. All ticket holders will be contacted, and as before, we will reschedule all bookings for the period we are closed for future dates, or exchange any tickets for vouchers.

Anybody with tickets for rum making experiences during the period from 5th November until the next government announcement on the 2nd December has been contacted via email and we will be able to reschedule your rum making experience for a future date, once we r-open, or exchange your ticket for a voucher which you can redeem anytime over the next 12 months.

To redeem your voucher:

  • Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select the date that you would like to attend the event.
  • Select the relevant ticket type, whether you have booked for one or two people.
  • Click the ‘Buy Now’ button.
  • On the next page, click the ‘+ Discount/Voucher’ button.
  • Enter your voucher code and click ‘Apply’. Then Click ‘Next
