Following an amazing sold-out show with Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B, SoulFood at Acanteen is back with another event that is definitely not to be missed! On 23rd May we will be welcoming legendary house DJ and producer for a club night that promises to be a very special one. Sandy Rivera is someone that we have followed and admired for years so are excited to announce that he will be coming to play and bringing a very special guest Julie Mcknight performing vocals on his classics such as Finally and Dreams.
For most, it was Sandy’s modern day 2000 anthem Finally as Kings of Tomorrow that bought him to their attention. Featuring the vocals of Julie McKnight, the dialogue between a dead woman and God transformed through Sandy’s production into one of the most revered house tracks of all time. Licensed to a staggering 170 compilations (and counting…) it remains to this day at the top of many people’s ‘all time favourites’.
His list of musical associations reads like a who’s who of electronic music including labels such as Defected and Ministry Of Sound through to artists like Craig David, Moby and Everything But The Girl. With the second decade of the 21st century upon us, the name Sandy Rivera means more than just a collection of records – more than just ‘house’. He is without doubt the King of Tomorrow and the master of yesterday – he is Sandy Rivera.

7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
