Description
Welcome to the Walrus, Nottingham’s favourite dive bar. A late night venue open Wednesday-Saturday and bank holiday Sundays. The underground bar is brightened by the neon lights including the famous ‘Ey Up Mi Duck’ sign. If you’re looking for a casual drink and natter there’s plenty of tables to rock up and grab.
But, the real reason to go is for boogie. Basically this venue is like the best house party with the best and worst of music from the last 4 decades. And there’s even four full size beer pong tables to hire.
Wednesdays are brought to you by Jump Ship Nottingham’s best alternative night. Bringing rock anthems, pop-punk and all round good times. There’s even been some guest DJs with the likes of Wargasm, You Me At Six, Shikari, Sound System, Deaf Havana, Skindred & Mallory Knox.
The cocktail menu has the best in classics like Cosmos, Mojitos and Long Islands. But there is also some great signatures too, including the Refresher (yep it tastes just like the sweets), Kinder Martini and the Cherry Bakewell. If that doesn’t convince you go for happy hour all night Thursdays and Fridays & Saturdays before 9pm, where all cocktails are 2-4-£10.
