The Castle Hotel

Description

Brimming with history, The Castle Hotel is one of Manchester’s most prominent pubs, due mainly to its links with the Manchester music scene. Located at the top of Oldham Street - just far enough away to be off the radar of the weekend hordes - The Castle oozes charm and character from every cosy corner, and attracts a down to earth mix of locals, musicians, artists and creative types.

The traditional façade and décor set the tone for the drinks on offer; The Castle Hotel puts on 10 cask ales on tap and firmly put the focus on providing quality ales and beers with a smile. Expect to see ‘Old Rosie’ cider from Weston’s (Hertfordshire) and Robinson’s ‘Dizzy Blonde’ (Stockport) as just some of the regular contributors to this well stocked bar.

The Castle Hotel is a great traditional drinking hole but with a distinctly younger and cooler crowd than you would expect from the outside. Prepare yourself for some excellent music nights as some of the up and coming acts of Manchester keep the crowds of The Castle Hotel entertained. Well worth a visit if you want a traditional pub in Manchester with a twist.
