Manchester’s branch of the iconic O’Neill’s pub chain is located just outside the city centre in Didsbury. As a classic Irish pub you certainly aren’t surprised by the strong food and drinks menus on offer at O’Neill’s. The interior too is very traditional with wooden tables spread about offering great seating options for dinner and drinks.
Drinks-wise O’Neill’s has all the key bases covered; with Guinness (obviously), beers, wines and spirits all available behind the well-stocked bar, the crowning glory is their separate whiskey menu. With all the big brands making the menu and then some smaller cheekier numbers creeping onto the list, the whiskey menu is well worth trying if you have a taste for the strong liquor.
O’Neill’s also does live music 4 nights a week and traverses the genres between Irish Folk, Indie and everything else, so there’s a little something for everyone. Live sports also features heavily with all the big matches covered plus a little Gaelic football and Aussie Rules for the specialist sports lovers.
