Thought Christmas was cancelled? Think again.
The Escape To Freight Island elves have been hard at work, re-crafting their venue into a sparkling winter grotto for all the family to enjoy. From the 12th November, the Depot Mayfield pop-up will be welcoming you and your household to eat, drink and be merry, with an array of big name DJs to boot.
Taking over the outdoor space will be Winter Island, the fun, festive event that comes heated, covered and fronting a 45ft Christmas tree. Out here you'll find plenty of socially distant seating, as well as a cute seasonal market, complete with mulled wine and hot cider, bratwurst grill, artisan cheesemongers and chocolatiers, and even a hog roast hut.
Inside the recently announced Ticket Hall you can enjoy even more of the good stuff from local eateries. Regular vendors such as Voodoo Rays and Madre will still be present, alongside a few new additions, including Belzan Pasta Kitchen and Ancoats cocktail spot, The Jane Eyre. To top that off, they'll be bringing an actual real-life curling rink to the city for the first time ever.
The entertainment will also be stepping things up a notch with a mammoth programme of exciting activities and excellent music. In addition to drag, cabaret, comedy, kids' shows and DJ sets, guests to the pop-up will be able to catch a glimpse of Escape To Freight Island's exclusive collaboration with Heaton Park's Lightopia.
The Ticket Hall will be open from 30th October and Winter Island from 12th November at the Depot Mayfield, 11 Baring Street, Manchester M1 2PY. Tables and events are available to book via their website for households of up to 6. And if you're looking for more yuletide inspiration? We're keeping you up-to-date on all the best Christmas events in Manchester.
