Brought to you by the Trof clan, Gorilla is a bar, restaurant, club and music venue, and manages to do it all spectacularly well. Housed in a railway arch underneath Oxford Road Station, the main bar boasts full height windows, minimalist decor and a mezzanine area that doubles as a Gin Parlour. As it's pretty much perfect for whatever you're planning, it deserves to be called a great Manchester bar.

Albert's Schloss

Albert's Schloss is a bar for the bohemian sorts around. This 'bier palace' boasts an amazing range of international beers, alongside great cocktails, tonnes of spirits and all the typical debauchery you can expect. You can also fill your tum with pretzels, doughnuts and cinnamon knots too, if all the partying gets a bit much.

Dusk til Pawn

It may be set right in the heart of Manchester's ever-growing Northern Quarter, but this former fortune teller's den isn't easy to find as from the outside it looks like an old fashioned pawn shop. Head inside though, and you'll discover a dark speakeasy style bar with a secretive prohibition style feel and some of the best mixologists in the city mixing up a range of stunning cocktails at your whim to a jukebox soundtrack.

Sandanista is one of Manchester's top bars with a strong Spanish and Cuban feel. Tapas, live music and cocktails are the main feature with rock n roll pulsing through this bars veins with walls coated in album artwork. It has a great drinks selection too and is a great alternative to a club in Manchester as this bar is open till late 7 nights a week.

Noho on Stevenson Square is a Northern Quarter gem. It's one of the coolest Manchester bars with graffiti lining the walls, including skyscrapers and cityscape murals. Noho draws in a young crowd for its weekend nights, when DJs thrash out great tunes and the cocktails flow freely. Noho gets pretty busy in the evenings, so we'd recommend booking your spot now!
