RBG Bar and Grill, just north of the Printworks area of Manchester, is housed within the Park Inn by Radisson hotel - so as expected prices are slightly above the norm for the area, but the quality of the food and drink definitely goes same way towards remedying this. The main RBG Restaurant serves house classics, gourmet burgers, Sunday roasts (kids eat free from the children's menu on Sunday) and steak, chicken and fish cooked over the famed Lava Char Grill - then in the bar, expect a more modest, relaxed menu of grazing plates, sandwiches and desserts to accompany a very decent drinks list.
There are bottles of continental lagers and some excellent wines - as well as cocktails with a RBG twist. As it serves the hotel too, the bar is actually open from 7am for teas and coffees, which makes it very popular for business breakfast meetings, then in the evening, expect a happy mix of hotel guests, locals and the post-work crowd, dressed to impress as they drift through the minimal, urban interior or make the most of the large outside terrace (which seats up to 60)!
