Underdog may have pleased late night pooches over the past few years, but with a new horizon in its midst, the Black Dog brand have taken to a suitably new theme for this basement haunt. A 400 capacity space toting Day of the Dead innards, tequila and frozen margarita's alike, XOLO may be named after Mexico's ugliest dog, but they're pushing for late night tracks and tequila tipples all round.
What we say:
Coined after Mexico's ugliest mutt, here's hoping that Black Dog have bigger aspirations for XOLO's appearance. But with their empire so sought after in the city, we think Black Dog's a brand we can rely on. And while many may note that El Capo and XOLO have opened within but months of one another, was Underdog not looking for a little inspiration? So why not take to Latin and South America for that? It's toting enough colour and culture for us all.
