An extra special storytelling evening of two brand new shows!

Presented by professional storytellers Vickie Holden and Minnie Wilkinson

The End and Other Beginnings

You know how stories end. You might think you know why Orpheus turned his head. Why you must always sleep under a neon light. And what will happen when the candles go out. Endings are powerful things, they can change your life if you let them. But afterwards, well... you never know what might begin.

Minnie Wilkinson will take you on a journey through the light and shade of hopeful dystopian tales in her uniquely warm and characterful way. Featuring a live soundscape by Sound Artist Sam Enthoven.

Transparent

How will you feel if someone you know goes through gender transition? What if it’s your best friend? Your sibling? Your parent…..or your child? Will you be able to support them while navigating your own conflicting feelings?

And what if you started feeling like you’re in the wrong body - who would you turn to and who would you trust?

Vickie Holden presents a triptych of transition stories from ancient myth to contemporary lived experience. A brand new dynamic Spoken Word show about gender, featuring performance poetry, storytelling, original writing, and movement.
