CAPTIVATING ORIGINAL MUSIC LED FROM THE VIOLIN
Dominic Ingham has a unique approach to jazz violin, inspired by his early influences of folk and classical music. Dominic’s exciting 5-piece band present all original compositions.
Jazz violinist, singer and composer Dominic Ingham is ‘a rare treat and should be heard live whenever possible’ (Kit Downes), and his compositions have been described as ‘modern-day lullabies’ (The Jazz Mann). Dominic has toured Europe extensively as well as performing at prestigious venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Jazz and the Royal Albert Hall. Dominic is involved in other UK bands including Jonathan Mansfield’s ‘Elftet’, and ‘Bonsai’. Both bands are releasing debut albums this year. Today he is joined by some of the most exciting jazz musicians in the UK.
Dominic currently leads and writes for his own quintet, involving some of the most exciting young jazz musicians in the UK. He is also involved in other UK bands including Jonathan Mansfield's Elftet, and Bonsai (formerly known as Jam Experiment) featuring Rory Ingham (Trombone), Toby Comeau (keys), Joe Lee (Bass), and Jonny Mansfield (drums). Both bands are releasing albums in May/June 2019.
