Description
Isobel is a jazz singer based in London. She trained in jazz vocals at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has been performing at many of London's top jazz venues since arriving on the scene in 2014; including Ronnie Scott's, the Vortex and the Spice of Life.Coming from a very musical household, Isobel developed her love of jazz and the Great American songbook at a very young age and started singing seriously at the age of 11. Since then she has had the opportunity to sing with ensembles of all shapes and sizes from her vocal/guitar duo to playing with a full sized big band with strings at Guildhall, alongside fellow soloists Lianne Carroll and Tommy Blaize. She has also explored a lot of big band singing through her work with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, as well as small group playing with her own quartet. Through her work she hopes to bring the music that she loves to fresh ears and bring new life to this golden age of music.Isobel Gathercole – VocalsDavid Swan – PianoTim Quicke – TrumpetTheo Malka-Wishart – Double BassZach Breskal – Drums
