Keep On Moving presents:

With over 2 mixtapes and 2 EPs under her belt, LayFullstop an independent Jazztronica artist from Manchester has built a name for creating music with a purpose. Growing up with the likes of Jamiroquai, 90s RnB/Gospel music and Japanese Jazz Fusion bands such as Casiopea, it’s not hard to see where Lay’s inspirations and unique blend originated. Not only is Lay known for her strong nod to jazz music, but for her energetic live shows and words of wisdom on and offline.

Born and raised in Totnes, Phoenix Laoutaris inherited her love of music from her professional violinist mother and multi-instrumentalist father. By her early teens she was devouring the work of Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway and D’Angelo, and at 15 she began writing her own material as a way of processing painful emotions and experiences. Following her debut single ‘Flowers’, and feature on MoStack’s 'Real Love', ‘When The Lights Go Down’ showcases Phoenix’s trademark delicate blend of drill and R&B.

Really good show. Intimate venue and good service. The support acts were amazing, and Tim Lyre worked the crowd so well. So glad we went. Definitely worth it and will be looking out for future performances.
