Expect the Unexpected !

Fresh from an extended time playing in New York, Harry will lead his own talented trio who are not an “eclectic mix of trip-hop, neo soul, experimental, multi-cultural, abstract, psyambient, underworld electronic fusion,” but Four modern jazz musicians at the top of their field delivering a new approach on jazz classics, standards and modern contemporary arrangements that also provide a showcase for Harry’s exciting, standout compositions. Add to that the skills of an exceptional, young rising star on Sax and you have a performance not to be missed!

Harry was mentored by the late, great John Taylor for four years, while at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he gained his BMus (Hons) Jazz piano. During his third year, Harry became the youngest jazz pianist ever to lead his own trio aboard the Queen Mary 2, touring the world, twice. Upon his return he was selected to join the prestigious Clark Tracey Quintet, playing the jazz circuit and festivals for three years. During this time, they completed two albums, which gained 5 stars in Jazz Wise Reviews. In addition Harry’s Debut Album ‘Piece By Piece” has been well received across the world.

Harry plays from the heart with versatility, passion, energy with subtle, soulful flair. He transitions seamlessly from Classic Bop to Modern, ingeniously combining the traditional with the contemporary. He often says, “If you surprise yourself, you invariably surprise your audience” With Harry Bolt, you can always Expect the Unexpected – He’s an artist who takes inspiration from the likes of Brad Mehldau, Bill Charlap, Aaron Parks, Michel Petrucciani, John Taylor, Pablo Held, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Walt Weiskopf & Peter Bernstein.

“ … Harry plays with soul, energy, versatility and most importantly – heart. He has an assured future in the business”

Rodney Jones, Julliard

“Finding young guys who can play this music is becoming easier, but finding your guys who can understand this music in addition, is always more of a challenge. I believe I’ve found what I’m looking for”

Clark Tracey, Award Winning British Jazz Drummer

“…His playing of Brad Meldhau’s When It Rains gave me chills… ”

Walt Weiskopf, American Jazz Saxophonist

“Something of a Prodigy, a Remarkable Young Pianist”

David Lewis of Straight Ahead, 606 Jazz Club on Solar Radio

“…Harry changes it up, playing with Real Dynamics which is a Rare thing in Jazz … ”

Arnie Somogyi, Bass
